Deliveries and returns
We deliver to almost every country worldwide, except for the following: Russia, India, Brazil, Morocco, North Korea, Syria, Iran, Yemen, and Sudan. (This list may change depending on current restrictions, security conditions, and political stability.)
Our shipping partner DHL Express covers a vast majority of countries. You can find the full list of available destinations on the DHL Express website.
SHIPPING COSTS
Preliminary note : shipping costs vary depending on the country of destination and the ordered quantity.
Delivery in France:
Home Delivery – Standard (3–4 working days): Free
Home Delivery – Express (24–48 hours): from €9.95
Delivery to the EU / Rest of the World:
Home Delivery – Standard (4–5 working days): Free
Home Delivery – Express (2–3 business days): from $9.95
Prices displayed on the site include taxes and customs fees for the following countries:
- United Kingdom
- United States
For all other countries outside the European Union, please note that any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or local fees are the responsibility of the customer.
These charges are set by the destination country's customs authorities and may vary according to local regulations.
DELIVERY TIME
Delivery times can differ according to the final destination. These delivery times apply to all orders, excluding models on pre-order, for which the shipment date is indicated on our website.
- Delivery in France will be made within 48/72 hours (the same for Corsica and other far areas from the mainland France) from the moment of departure of parcel (excluding Sundays and festive days).
- Deliveries for major European cities will be made within 48/72 hours from the moment of departure of parcel.
- Delivery to the rest of the world takes 4–5 business days by Standard shipping, or 2–3 business days by Express shipping, from the moment of departure of parcel.
There can be delay caused by temporary unavailability of products, absence of service caused by courier, major force or during local holiday period: in such circumstances we will make sure to send your package as soon as possible given the situation.
CUSTOMS DUTIES
All orders are shipped from our office in France.
- For orders delivered to the UK or the US, Daniel Essa covers customs duties.
- For countries within the European Union, no customs fees are applied.
- For all other countries, customs charges may be applied by local authorities. Please note that these fees vary depending on the destination country.
Payment of customs duty is the customer’s responsibility, and the cost is determined by the law in force in the country of destination of the consignment which implies that it may vary over time and from one region to another. Daniel Essa is neither responsible for, and not aware of, the cost of the customs duty: you will be notified by the courier once the shipment has reached its destination. If the customs duty is not paid and for this reason the shipment is rejected or abandoned, the shipping costs and the same customs duty will be deducted from the total amount of the order and only the difference will be refunded to the customer.
CHANGES AND RETURNS
Can I make an exchange or return?
You can request an exchange or return within 30 days of delivery, provided the product is in its original, unworn condition.
Important: The shoebox must be packed inside a second shipping box for return. Failure to do so may result in a deduction from your refund to cover damage to the packaging.
“Original condition” means the item has not been scuffed, stretched, soiled, or worn in any way. It must be free from damage on the exterior, interior, or sole, and must not have been washed or altered. The product should be returned in its original packaging with all accessories. For hygiene reasons, we kindly ask that you wear clean socks when trying on your DANIEL ESSA shoes, and do so indoors on soft surfaces such as rugs or carpets.
Special Terms for the “Archive Sales” : As part of the Archive Sales, the following conditions apply: Non-exchangeable and Non-refundable. Products listed on the Archive pages purchased at discounted prices cannot be exchanged or refunded under any circumstances.

The standard terms and conditions of sale for Daniel Essa remain applicable, except as specified above.
Note: any element or content appearing in the following section “CHANGES AND RETURNS” initially referring to our shoes is also applicable to all our accessories such as laces or straps
How can I return or exchange ?
From the moment you receive the shoes, you have 30 days to contact our Customer Service to open the return or exchange procedure at info@danielessa.com
- In the case of a model or size exchange :
– Our customer service will be happy to accompany you throughout the process.
– We kindly ask you to contact us specifying the desired change.
– You must wait for our after-sales service to validate your request.
– We will send you a prepaid shipping label, and you must not pay any shipping costs yourself.
- In the case of a return:
– Our customer service will be happy to accompany you throughout the process.
– We kindly ask you to contact us specifying the reasons for the return and, if possible, to attach some useful photos to speed up your request.
– You must then wait for our after-sales service to validate your request.
– We will send you a prepaid shipping label, and you must not pay any shipping costs yourself.
When will you refund me ?
Please allow up to 14 days for your return to be processed after we receive the item. Once your return has been received and inspected, you will receive an email notification confirming your refund. The refund will be issued using the same payment method you used for your purchase. No additional fees will be charged for the refund.

What should I do if I have not purchased my shoes on the DANIEL ESSA site?
Our items can only be returned through the same channel as the one in which they were originally purchased, which means that :
- If your purchase was made from a private individual, we no longer guarantee any of our return and exchange policies.
- If your purchase was made at one of our official partner sales points, then we kindly redirect you to the latter in order to know their specific conditions because no return or exchange will be accepted by our company.
Can I get a refund or exchange for an item offered as a gift?
It is possible to return a gift purchased on the site www.danielessa.com. However, we will ask you to pass your request through your relative because any return or exchange will have to be linked to the buyer’s customer account. Also, if the return is resulting to a refund, this could only be issued using the payment method used for the original purchase.
